Best Brunch Places in El Poblado, Medellín

El Poblado has the densest brunch scene in Medellín, spread between neighbourhood bakeries, a large local café chain, and two hotel restaurants. Addresses below are checked — several widely circulated guides list them wrongly.

Bread Factory

Calle 8 #42-25, El Poblado. A bakery and kitchen with a Swiss-influenced menu, operating inside the Rango hostel building (Degusta; RestaurantGuru).

Go for the bread. It is the most straightforwardly good bakery brunch in the neighbourhood and priced well below the hotel options.

Al Alma

A Colombian café chain with 18 locations in Colombia and two in Panama, in business eleven years and specialising in brunch (Tripadvisor).

The El Poblado locations:

  1. Calle 8 #35-37, Provenza
  2. Calle 8 #43B-136 — the leafy, quiet one, with reliable Wi-Fi and plenty of outlets if you intend to work
  3. Carrera 43A #1 Sur-150, La Strada
  4. Calle 6 Sur #15, local 1182, Centro Comercial Oviedo

The Calle 8 #43B-136 branch is the one to pick if you want a laptop-friendly morning rather than a social one.

Cambria Café Resto

Carrera 43E #12-16, Manila. A small bakery-pâtisserie and restaurant-bar in a 1920s room, in Manila rather than Provenza — quieter, and a short walk from the Provenza crowds (Vivir en El Poblado; Degusta).

Hours: opens 7:30 AM on weekdays and 8:00 AM on Saturdays. Closing is 8:00 PM Monday to Wednesday, 9:30 PM Thursday, and 11:00 PM Friday and Saturday.

The two hotel restaurants

Click Clack Hotel, Calle 10 #37-29. The hotel runs a well-regarded brunch on selected dates rather than every weekend, so check before you plan around it. The building holds five restaurants, an art gallery and a pool, and is listed in the Michelin Guide’s hotel selection (Click Clack Hotel; Michelin Guide).

The Charlee, Calle 9A #37-16. Its Envy Rooftop occupies floors 17 and 18 — the highest rooftop in El Poblado — arranged over two levels around an aquarium-style pool, with sushi from the hotel’s ONI Nikkei kitchen (Envy Rooftop; The Charlee).

Brunch service at the Charlee runs as scheduled events rather than a standing weekly booking. Check the hotel’s own channels for current dates.

Brunch or breakfast?

Both exist here and they are not the same meal:

BrunchBreakfast à la carte
Served9 AM – 3 PM or later6 AM – 11 AM
MenuBreakfast and lunch items together — eggs, pancakes, burgers, saladsMorning dishes — eggs, arepas, fruit, coffee
PortionsLarger, intended to carry you through the dayLighter, a quick start
DrinksIncludes mimosas, cocktails, wineCoffee, juice or tea
PaceSocial and longQuick and functional

If you want the traditional Colombian version, ask for desayuno: eggs, arepa, and often calentado. Brunch in El Poblado is largely an international format aimed at visitors and the city’s remote-working population.

A note on this guide

Rechecked in September 2026. Bread Factory’s address was corrected — it was listed at Calle 10 #35-16 and is at Calle 8 #42-25. Al Alma’s locations were made specific, Cambria’s hours added, and the Click Clack brunch schedule corrected from “weekends” to selected dates. Google star ratings were removed: they change continuously and a figure frozen into a page is wrong within weeks. A published reservations phone number and email address were also removed — book through the hotels’ own channels, which stay current.
