Shakira in Medellín: What Happened to the Postponed 2025 Concert
These concerts have all taken place. This page is kept as a record of the Colombian leg of the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, including how the cancelled Medellín date was resolved.
The Medellín date, and how it ended
The Medellín concert scheduled for 24 February 2025 at the Estadio Atanasio Girardot was cancelled, over logistical and structural problems with the stage assembly. Shakira described the situation as outside her control at the time (Infobae).
It was not left cancelled. The show was rescheduled to Saturday 12 April 2025, and demand was such that a second date was added for 13 April (Infobae; El Informador).
Three things came out of the rescheduling:
- The staging was reconfigured so that every seating category had 100% visibility of the stage — the problem that caused the cancellation in the first place (Infobae).
- Refunds were offered through E-Ticket for ticket holders who could not attend the new dates, with a deadline of 3 April 2025.
- The Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio intervened, taking measures on behalf of ticket holders after the cancellation (Infobae).
Moving the production required a team of more than 150 people to relocate on an unusually short timescale, and the tour was extended rather than dropping the city.

About the tour
The Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour opened in Rio de Janeiro on 11 February 2025 and marked Shakira’s return to touring after a seven-year gap, supporting the album of the same name (Wikipedia: Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour).
The Latin American leg ran through Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Mexico before the tour moved to North America.
Going to a stadium show at the Atanasio Girardot
The Estadio Atanasio Girardot sits in Laureles-Estadio and is served directly by its own Metro station, Estadio, the fourth stop on Line B (Metro de Medellín) — which is by some distance the best way to arrive and, more importantly, to leave.
Metro fares changed on 10 January 2026: 3,820 COP on the Cívica card for the Frecuente profile, 4,400 COP for the Eventual/tourist profile (Metro de Medellín tariffs).
A note on this guide
Rechecked in September 2026. The previous version listed the Medellín concert as “POSTPONED” and stopped there, leaving readers with no idea whether the show ever happened. It did — on 12 and 13 April 2025, after the February date was cancelled over stage problems. The reason for the cancellation, the refund arrangements, and the SIC’s intervention have been added, along with a notice that the whole tour has now concluded.
